1. Introduction
Welcome to Explore Bosnia – Istraži Bosnu. By booking a trip or using our website, you agree to the terms and conditions outlined below.
Our mission is to offer authentic, locally guided, and tailor-made travel experiences throughout Bosnia and Herzegovina. These Terms & Conditions ensure clarity, fairness, and transparency for all travelers.
In these terms:
“We”, “us”, and “our” refer to Explore Bosnia – Istraži Bosnu LLC.
“You” or “customer” refers to the traveler or any person making a booking with us.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, with updates posted on our website www.explore-bosnia.com. Continued use of our services after changes means you accept the revised terms.
2. Booking a Tour
2.1. Booking Confirmation
A booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send a written Booking Confirmation via email. The person making the booking must be at least 18 years old and accepts responsibility for all travelers listed in the booking.
Please review your confirmation carefully. Any errors should be reported to us immediately.
2.2. Payments
A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking.
The remaining balance must be paid 60 days prior to departure.
For bookings made within 60 days of departure, full payment is required at the time of booking.
Payments can be made by bank transfer, Visa, or MasterCard.
Customers are responsible for any bank fees or currency conversion charges.
Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation and forfeiture of the deposit.
2.3. Price Policy
All prices are listed in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise stated.
Prices are subject to change before confirmation due to fluctuations in exchange rates, taxes, or supplier costs. Once confirmed, your booking price will not change unless you request alterations.
2.4. Travel Insurance
Comprehensive travel insurance covering medical emergencies, trip cancellations, and lost luggage is strongly recommended. Travelers without adequate insurance assume full responsibility for any losses incurred.
3. Customer Responsibilities
By booking with us, you confirm that:
You are physically and mentally fit for your chosen tour.
You will comply with all local laws, customs, and safety guidelines.
You will provide accurate personal information, including passport and medical details when required.
You understand that active tours may involve outdoor adventure, moderate physical activity, and varied terrain.
4. Cancellations by the Traveler
If you wish to cancel your booking, you must notify us in writing via email at info@explore-bosnia.com.
The following cancellation fees apply:

Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds or rescheduling may be considered in the following cases (documentation required):
Natural disasters or severe weather at the destination.
Government-imposed travel restrictions or bans.
Civil unrest, pandemics, or declared emergencies.
Medical emergencies or death in the immediate family.
Approved refunds will cover all recoverable funds minus processing and non-refundable third-party costs.
5. Cancellations or Changes by Explore Bosnia
In rare cases, Explore Bosnia – Istraži Bosnu may need to cancel or reschedule a tour due to:
Force majeure events (natural disasters, political unrest, etc.).
Failure to meet the minimum group size.
Supplier issues beyond our control.
If this occurs, you may choose to:
Receive a full refund of all payments made, or
Transfer your payment to a future trip or credit voucher, or
Accept an alternative tour of equal or greater value.
We will always strive to provide fair and flexible solutions.
6. Changes to Your Booking
If you wish to modify your tour after confirmation (e.g., dates, group size, or accommodations):
A €30 administration fee applies per change.
Any additional third-party charges (such as hotel or flight penalties) will be passed on.
Major changes close to departure may be treated as cancellations and subject to standard fees.
7. Non-Refundable Items
The following items are non-refundable under all circumstances:
Event or attraction tickets marked as “non-refundable.”
Air/train/bus tickets with non-refundable fares.
Payment or transaction fees.
Custom itineraries or private experiences with prepaid suppliers.
8. Refund Process
Refund requests must be submitted in writing via email or through www.explore-bosnia.com.
Please include your booking reference and relevant documentation.
Refunds are processed within 30 business days after receiving a complete and verified request.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method, unless otherwise agreed.
9. Liability Disclaimer
Explore Bosnia – Istraži Bosnu is not liable for:
Delays or cancellations caused by weather, transport issues, strikes, or government restrictions.
Loss, injury, or damage caused by third-party providers (airlines, hotels, etc.).
Expenses resulting from traveler negligence, missed connections, or lack of valid documents.
Our maximum liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for your booking.
Adventure and outdoor travel involve inherent risks. By participating, you accept responsibility for your safety and agree to follow all guide instructions and safety protocols.
10. Complaints
We aim to provide exceptional experiences.
If you encounter an issue during your trip, please inform your local guide or tour leader immediately, or email info@explore-bosnia.com so we can resolve it promptly.
Complaints submitted after the trip will be reviewed, but immediate reporting allows faster resolution.
11. Data Protection
We value your privacy. All personal data collected during the booking process will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and will never be shared without consent except as required by law.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
All bookings are governed by the laws of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Any disputes arising from these terms will first be addressed through mediation or arbitration.
If unresolved, they shall be handled by the competent courts of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
