This morning, you’ll be welcomed in Sarajevo, Bosnia’s vibrant capital, before traveling the short distance north to Visoko (approx. 45 minutes). Nestled in a valley surrounded by rolling hills, Visoko is home to the enigmatic Bosnia Pyramids, a site that continues to spark debate among archaeologists and adventurers alike. We’ll explore the Pyramid of the Sun and descend into the Ravne tunnels, where legend and science intertwine. Along the way, we’ll stop at a local honey farm, tasting golden Bosnian honey and learning about the region’s centuries‑old beekeeping traditions. Dinner tonight is hosted in Visoko, featuring homemade specialties prepared with local ingredients. Overnight Stay: Guesthouse in Visoko.

Day 2- Visoko to Bijambare Natural Park

Leaving Visoko behind, we drive east toward Bijambare Natural Park (approx. 1 hr 15 min). This protected area is a haven of pine forests, meadows, and karst caves.   We’ll stroll beneath towering trees, listening to birdsong, before entering the Great Cave, where dramatic stalactites and stalagmites create a cathedral‑like atmosphere. Afterward, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch in the meadows, surrounded by wildflowers. A hidden gem awaits nearby — a rustic shepherd’s hut, where we’ll taste fresh mountain cheese and hear stories of pastoral life. By evening, we return to Sarajevo (approx. 45 minutes) for dinner in the old town, where Ottoman and Austro‑Hungarian influences blend seamlessly. Overnight Stay: Boutique hotel in Sarajevo.

Day 3 – Sarajevo to Bosanska Krupa

This morning, we set out northwest toward the emerald waters of the Una River and the town of Bosanska Krupa. The drive is scenic, with rolling hills and river valleys, and we pause in Kozara National Park for an optional short hike or panoramic viewpoint.   In late afternoon arriving in Bosanska Krupa, we explore fortress ruins and wander across the town’s river islands, linked by wooden bridges. A hidden gem here is a local artisan workshop, where traditional wooden crafts are still made by hand. Evening is free to enjoy the riverside atmosphere. Overnight Stay: Family‑run inn in Bosanska Krupa.

Day 4 – Bosanska Krupa: Nature, Art & Music

Today is dedicated to culture and creativity. We visit the Colony of Art, a riverside gathering place where local and regional artists showcase their work. Stroll through galleries, meet the creators, and feel the town’s vibrant spirit. As night falls, Bosanska Krupa comes alive with traditional live music in a local tavern — a celebration of song, stories, and community. Overnight Stay: Family‑run inn in Bosanska Krupa.

Day 5 -Bosanska Krupa to Jajce

We drive southeast to Jajce, a medieval royal capital where nature and history meet dramatically. At the heart of town, the Pliva Waterfall cascades into the center — a rare spectacle in Europe. We’ll explore the fortress and wander among the Pliva watermills, wooden huts perched along the riverbanks. A small ethnographic museum offers insight into rural Bosnian life. Evening is free to enjoy Jajce’s old town. Overnight Stay: Guesthouse in Jajce.

Day 6 – Jajce to Travnik

A short drive east brings us to Travnik, once the seat of Ottoman viziers. We’ll climb to the fortress for sweeping views, visit the Blue Water spring, and step inside Travnik’s painted mosques, adorned with vivid interiors. A hidden gem here is tasting Travnik’s famous cheese at a local dairy, a tradition dating back centuries. Evening is yours to explore local taverns. Overnight Stay: Family‑run inn in Travnik.

Day 7-Kravice Waterfalls & Počitelj → Sarajevo

Our final day takes us south to Herzegovina’s natural wonder, the Kravice Waterfalls. Cascades tumble into emerald pools, forming a natural amphitheater. You’ll have time to relax, swim (seasonal), or simply enjoy photography. On the way, we stop at Počitelj, a preserved Ottoman stone village where artists’ studios line narrow lanes.
